Exciting things Happening at Kalamazoo Sewing Center!

This afternoon a group of quilters gathered together to finish up baby quilts for a local unwed mother shelter. The quilts are just gorgeous. The quilters were enjoying each others company, some healthy snacks, and using their sewing machines for a good cause while gathering some great tips from each other.

And now is a great time to grab that sewing machine and come to the sewing center for a class or to finish one of those projects that you've been working on and haven't had the time to finish.

Feels Like Spring at the Sewing Center!
In fact, we're holding a spring cleaning event! Make a list of all your unfinished sewing projects that you've not finished yet. Bring your list into the sewing center anytime after April 10th and complete our form agreeing to finish your projects. As you complete your projects, stop by the sewing center with your completed project and we'll cross that project off your list. Earn coupons to use for supplies to finish your projects up!
Pocket Purses coming in April

Tabitha is finishing up the sample of the Feels like Spring quilt and it is a beauty! Full of Daffodils, Lily of the Valley, Pansies, and other beautiful spring flowers---this an irresistible quilt---so beautiful. Stop by and see the sample.

And look at these cute pocket purses coming to a class in April! This is a quick and easy in the hoop project---just think of the gifts you can stitch out by making these!

We'll be having so much more news in the coming weeks about a Husqvarna Viking Event coming in May and all the exciting classes that will be coming up. Browse over to our website for a full calendar of events. And stop by today to register for a class. Most classes require advanced registration.

Don't miss out on this Super Fun Quilting Class with Bev!

A block of the month quilt that is a current class at the sewing center is this fun Garden Patch Cats quilt by artist Helene Knott. Each block is a fun kitty at first glance---but look again it is a fun veggie or fruit too!

In this series of classes, under Bev's tutelage, you will learn how to applique, use a light box to transfer and manipulate design and sew out the block. Quilting will be done after all blocks are complete.

The class has already begun but you can join in and catch up on your squares later or at home, or, as Bev suggests, come in and sew out a block for a fun garden pillow or wall hanging. The possibilities are endless and who couldn't use a fun kitty to brighten up a day?

This is the Garden Patch Cats class with Bev. See the complete class schedule by clicking here.
